Marah JohnsonMarah Johnson’s new RockSTar paper is the bOmb….it is full of guitars with wings and big clocks with crowns, need I say more? In her usual style she has added embellishments of guitar brads, velvet flowers, and the BIGGEST crown brad you have ever seen. Now I know you ladies know how to ROck it, and were saving those pics and old concerts tickets from back in the day for the perfect project, well this is it! So get those creative juices roCKin and put together a memory. Joy Campbell

So I go into the store yesterday and to my amazement the front of the cash wrap is covered with the new Autumn Leave Clear Stamps. There are so many new stamps you won’t know which ones to get first. My suggestion is to load up on the new holiday stamp sets first because Christmas card season is just around the corner. I don’t know about you guys but I am crazy for buttons, all shapes, sizes and colors. We just got a bunch of these in and they come in really pretty color combos. Be sure to stop by the store at least once a week to check out all the latest and greatest products. Remember new products mean new inspiration!

september-pieces-of-my-past-7.jpgWere did a month go in my life. I knew as soon as school started I was out of the starting gate and on the race of my life. Boy did I not realize how long the race would be. This is the first chance I have had to BLOG. I worked tonight getting ready for my rescheduled September class. Here’s the test page I did tonight. Still need to journal…but that’s the hard part. Since these are heritage pages, I have to research some of the history. Hope I’m successful. Thank goodness for computers. It sends shivers down my spine to think I would have had to go downtown to the hall of records in order to look this stuff up-and that would be a longshot. I love, love, love (did I say love) my computer and the instant information it gives me. Back of my page: The papers I used this month are Foof-a-la. They were new when I chose them but now after summer CHA, they’re old. Funny how new becomes old so quick in the world of scrapbooking. These are my husband’s Great-Grandparents. They grew up in the Duarte area, so I’m hoping the information on them is readily available. Bye for now, hope it won’t be too long before I post again.

This spooktacular new line from K & Company featuring skulls, bones, bats, pumpkins and candy on vibrant orange, electric lime and a marshmallow purple is perfect to make all of your Halloween cards this season. The bat paper is flocked for added dimension, cut out the circles on the circled paper and raise the image with pop dots! This line features fantastic embellishments: rub ons, sticker, ribbon, chipboard die cuts, a box of card board die cuts, chipboard letters…. the list goes on. There is no end to all of the creative crafts you can make with the pieces.  Boo tags would be cute to attach to the special homemade Halloween treats for the neighbor kids. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I love the black and orange colors, the pumpkin patch, the costume parties, the haunt at Knotts, and the cute little trick-or-treaters on Halloween night. If you want some serious scrapbooking time all to yourself, you’re in luck. We’ve had some recent cancellations at our 12-hour crop this Saturday (September 22), so if you want to take some YOU time to catch up on your scrapbooks or maybe put together some of those class kits you’ve been purchasing, get started on your Christmas cards, give us a call. Don’t know what a Crop is? It’s a chance for you to bring your pictures and supplies, come on down and sit with your fellow scrapbookers and create. Get some of your friends to come with you or come and make some new friends. We’ll be there from 10 AM to 10 PM!!! You’ll get 10% off your purchases and use of the die cut center free of charge. If you really want to get something done, sign up for the Friday night crop too, leave everything Friday night, and come start where you left off on Saturday morning. If you sign up for both crops, you’ll receive a $5 store credit!!! Call the store today for more details or check out the website calendar, and I hope to see you this weekend! Barbara

img_4285.jpg I just love the new papers from Cloud 9! The muted colors of washed out blue and a sage green accented with salmon and brown make for an interesting page. Cloud 9 has matching stickers which include florals and circles, cute sayings and journaling boxes. If you need to make a quick layout this is the set up to get! I can easily see using a brown ink to edge the papers and add some ribbon for texture, and adhere pop dots to the sayings to add dimension. A cute page in less than an hour! (posted by Susan B.)

It’s time for a free make-n-take. Drop by the store between 11:30am and 1:00pm to make the card pictured above (hover or click on the thumbnail for an enlarged view). The project takes about 5 to 10 minutes – come during your lunch and see what’s new at the store too!

If you have not yet stopped by Scrappin’ Good Times on the Shop Hop trail to get your passport stamped, don’t worry! Our hours have been extended (see the post below for details).

As a result you’ll be able to shop while there are several classes going on right in the store each evening and on the weekend. You have the special opportunity to see our classes and some of our instructors in action first-hand! Some of the classes still have spots or kits available So if you stop in and see a class going on, ask if there are extra kits. Better yet, ask if you can still join the class! Take advantage of these classes while you’re out and about this week:

Also, Scrappin’ Good Times is hosting TWO crops that Shop Hoppers can take advantage of. Shop with your Shop Hop discount and and then get your scrap on with your new supplies! The crops are this Friday night and all day Saturday–call (909)305-0748 to reserve your spot today. You can also call SGT to sign up for any of our classes right over the phone.

Another tip: SGT is situated off the Arrow Highway exit off the 57 freeway. This is a great place to fuel up–for yourself and your car! There are a great variety of fast food places (A&W, KFC, Taco Bell, Del Taco, Carl’s Jr, The Yogurt Station, McDonald’s, Starbuck’s, El Pollo Loco, etc) and sit down restaurants (Michaelangelo’s Pizza, Red Robin, Cask N Cleaver, Applebee’s, Denny’s, Zendejas, etc) as well as several gas stations (Mobil, Shell, etc…) and a Target across the freeway. Make them your lunch or dinner time stop so you only have to pull off the freeway one time to take care of all your needs.
