If you have not been in SGT lately, girl, are you missing out!! Recently the new KI Memories line of Pop Culture papers was set out on the shelves. There are stamps, diecut lace papers, shimmer patterned papers–fun fun fun!! You have to check out the diecut lace papers–they really are like lace. Some of them are made up of numbers, alphabets, flowers, or swirls. And they come in all different colors. Here’s a snapshot of some of the candy I picked up when I was in earlier this week:KI Candy

So make sure you check it all out! Hurry in before it is all gone-ski.

This is an adorable multi purpose CD Tin.  If you are feeling super creative you can make a mini book to insert in the CD Tin.  This makes a super cute hand made gift!!  It can also be used for a Gift Card or a CD of your favorite pictures or Christmas Tunes.  Gift Card and CD Inserts are also available.

As usual this project is super easy to recreate!!  The cost of this make and take is $6.

* Make and takes are available while supplies last

There’s less than a month until Christmas … and that means only a couple more scrapbook classes until the end of the year! Have you gotten gifts for all of the “nice” people on your list?

PJ and I have designed the perfect class for the season. Our 6×12 “Our Family Story” book is the perfect gift for that special family member or the always hard to buy for, “person who has everything”.  Here’s the cover of the book:

Our Family Story Cover

Better yet, *wow* your friends and family by completing the book for yourself as a coffee table keepsake and conversation piece. Your loved ones will enjoy reading your story, as captured in this book, while enjoying a cup of cocoa during a winter afternoon’s visit. Tell your family’s story in an elegantly shabby chic way for future generations to enjoy.
Please join us on  December 2, 2007 at 12:30pm to make this family treasure!

We still have a few spaces open in the class so make sure to reserve your spot today.  If you can’t make the class date, no problem; simply call to reserve a class kit. We’ll leave your kit at the store for you to pick up at your convenience. The sample is on display in the store so feel free to take a closer look.

Also, PJ and I have created some gorgeous stocking stuffers and office gifts as our add-ons! Many of these gifts are already beautifully wrapped and ready-to-give.  We’ve created gift packs which have handmade altered items featuring assorted chocolates–perfect gifts for co-workers, teachers, and neighbors! And we’ve also created sets of handmade cards and tags in case you haven’t quite got the time to create your own this year. Even if you are not in the class or just taking home the kit, we welcome you to purchase add-ons on the day of the class.  We will have plenty to go around! Check out sneak peeks of the add-ons on Jennifer’s blog.

We look forward to seeing you in our last class of the year! And Happy Holidays!

 From: PJ and Jennifer!

OK Ladies

Here is a shameless plug for Scrappin’ Good Times.
Heidi nominated us for a best scrapbook store listing on MYFOXLA website. Thanks HEIDI!D

The only problem is that we were not listed there! So guess what? I added a listing for us on the MyFoxLA  website.  It just went live. They are having a CityVoter contest where you vote for your favorite stores restaurants etc.  The voting ends on Friday the 23rd.

Wouldn’t it be great if we voted for in Best Scrapbooking Store category. I ‘m sure you have a favorite store in mind.  P.S. The make sure and click on the yellowCompeting for: Best Scrapbooking VoteVOTE button!

Thanks, Gilbert

Drumroll please!! Our Creative Cafe was unveiled this Saturday. Make sure you come by and take a look at all the goodies!

Look at all pretty papers and lots of fun felt and chipboard shapes. Don’t get me started on all the different colors of buttons!

Trish had fun showing everyone all the fun goodies!

Let the Make N Takes begin!

We will be having weekly Make N Takes and fun projects for Happy Hour every week!

Check back here on the blog for updates.

O.K. No one saw me!… I think.

I secretly took a few pics of the Refrigerator Magnet Make N Take that will be unveiled Saturday for the Grand Opening of the Creative Cafe;)

Shhh, Don’t tell anyone, I don’t want Trish to find out.

Creative Cafe Refrigerator Magnet Project

Creative Cafe under wrapsCreative Cafe under wrapsHave you seen the new area up front that is currently under wraps?

Rows of bins, like a candy store filled with tags, chipboard, felt and buttons with coordinating ribbons, rub-ons, papers and dies.  Couple this with an Art Bar, a permanent place for you to sit down, get inspired and create!!  Are you drooling!   Join us for our first Happy Hour Make & Take. We will be creating an Uber-Cute Refrigerator Magnet using a variety of Accucut flower dies and paper, tags and buttons from the All New Creative Café Spirit Collection..   The cost is only $5.

The Creative Café brings together four of the Scrapbook World’s most sought after manufacturers:

Creative Imaginations * Bazzil * Hampton Arts * Accucut

It consists of two color palettes…Lucky and Spirit.

I would best describe Lucky as fall colors, deep burgundy, gold, brown, teal and green.  Spirit reminds me of summer…bright red, blue, pink, orange and lime.

Both are beautiful!

 Happy Hour!!

Yupp!! You heard me right…HAPPY HOUR!!  Every Thursday from 5 – 7 pm join us for Happy Hour.  We will create a different Make & Take project each week. Everything from Gift Ideas, Mini Books, Scrapbook Pages, Home Décor, Party Favors, Greeting Cards and More.  Creative Imaginations will send us recipe cards for projects designed by some of their hottest designers. Some times we will use their ideas and other times the Good Time Girls will design the projects.  You will get the best of both worlds.

This will all be unveiled this Saturday, November 10 at 11 a.m. SGT-CC3

All I can tell you right now, is that when I showed the Good Time Girls what was under wraps, they went Ooooooohhhhhhhhh and AAhhhhhhhhhhh!

Just want to remind you that today is Make-n-Take Wednesday. Stop by between 11:30am and 1:00pm to make this free “Thanks” card. The card uses lots of tiny Quickutz leaves as well as a scalloped circle (QK Cookie Cutter shape), and features a surprise closure feature.

 Hope I see you!

Every Tuesday SGT opens it doors at 9am just for you to come in early and crop! For FREE! I love going in to the Tuesday AM crops, getting an early start on my day, checking out the new product that just got put on the shelves…its a great time to make new friends, crop, and shop. Plus you can’t beat the price: $0! No sign-ups are needed–just bring your supplies and find a seat. See you there, bright and early!
