CHA (Craft & Hobby Association) Summer Trade Show is over but the releases & pics are still popping up all over the internet (try a google search & you’ll see what I mean). Here is a “sum-up” report from the CHA show at Scrapbook Update blog with a Top Ten picks list.  Enjoy!

The Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) winter trade show ends today. I had a groovy good time learning new techniques, seeing the new releases and creating some fun new samples for the store. Here’s a card that was on display in the Quickutz booth (don’t you just love that 3-D leaf?)

I’m sure the rest of the Good Times gang had a great time too (and I’ll bet there will be more pictures coming!)

I am a little behind loading up my photos but I thought these were too funny to pass up.  As usual, our lucky Gilbert won everything there was to win, including new fixtures for the store.  Trish and Gilbert rented a truck and after loading them, Michelle, Julie and I took a ride back to our cars – YES inside the back of the truck.

We were tossed everywhere and laughing so hard, I think I peed my pants.  I have to say, CHA was an experience and my ride home was no exception…start looking out for all the new products…it’s going to be good.  ~Pamela

02-10-ruler31.gifThe secret was unveiled yesterday (Sunday) at the CHA show. Quickutz has released a new way of using your Revolution die cut machine. They have designed an attachment to make long borders for your layouts.

Here some samples of the new borders that Quickutz is releasing! So many possibilities! I love them all!  -Susan B.

september-pieces-of-my-past-7.jpgWere did a month go in my life. I knew as soon as school started I was out of the starting gate and on the race of my life. Boy did I not realize how long the race would be. This is the first chance I have had to BLOG. I worked tonight getting ready for my rescheduled September class. Here’s the test page I did tonight. Still need to journal…but that’s the hard part. Since these are heritage pages, I have to research some of the history. Hope I’m successful. Thank goodness for computers. It sends shivers down my spine to think I would have had to go downtown to the hall of records in order to look this stuff up-and that would be a longshot. I love, love, love (did I say love) my computer and the instant information it gives me. Back of my page: The papers I used this month are Foof-a-la. They were new when I chose them but now after summer CHA, they’re old. Funny how new becomes old so quick in the world of scrapbooking. These are my husband’s Great-Grandparents. They grew up in the Duarte area, so I’m hoping the information on them is readily available. Bye for now, hope it won’t be too long before I post again.

I stopped into SGT this morning for the Tuesday morning crop and new products were EVERYWHERE! The new Quickutz shapes were released today; adorable playground equipment, school buses, backpacks, cute summer sayings, a thermos and lunch box die set, great mini book die sets…I want them all!!

Then, right as you walk in the store to the right is a large, blank space on the wall. A HUGE shipment of goodies is expected and will be filling up that space!! How exciting! The store already has all the new BasicGrey, tons of new Karen Foster, awesome rub-ons from Luxe Designs, gorgeous glitter papers from Best Creations, Inc….stop in and check it out. It’s like a mini-CHA right here in San Dimas!

Also, while you’re in the store, don’t forget to pick up your $5 passport for the SoCalShopHop, going on the second week of September. Visit 12 stores, have your passport stamped, and be entered for a drawing for a $50 gift certificate. Visit all 29 stores and be entered to win a scrapbooking cruise! Make SGT your first stop on the Shop Hop. See you on the road!

Heidi Michelle JulieHeidi Michelle JulieHeidi Michelle JulieWe had an exciting day.  We partied all day and ate ALL DAY at the preview parties.  We first started out at the Fiskars/Heidi Grace/Cloud 9 party.  Do you want to know what Trish ordered?  The question really is what didn’t Trish order.  She fell in love with absolutely everything and had to have it all.  The new lines are to die for.  We even got to meet Heidi Grace and her baby daughter, Reagan.  Heidi Michelle JulieHeidi Michelle JulieCreative CafeCreative CafeCreative CafeCreative CafeHeidi Michelle JulieCreative CafeCreative Cafe

After ordering, we really worked up an appetite and went to lunch.  Next we headed to Creative Imaginations.  We were like kids in a candy shop and just wait until you see the new candy shop that’s coming to SGT.

Creative Cafe

It’s called Creative Cafe.  The papers and embellishments are so cute.  Matching buttons, felt flowers, and just wait until you see the matching ribbon.  A definate favorite at Creative Imaginations was the chocolate fountain, and it was free!!

mmmm chocolate

Yummy marshmallows, bananas, pretzels, pineapple, and strawberries.  Are you hunrgy yet?  After we got our chocolate fix we hitched a ride with some friends to yet another preview party at Luxe Designs.  They had some really cute rubons and some really great Luxtini’s.  Did we mention it was an open bar?  Wow! Do they know how to throw a party.  Those Luxtini’s were so pretty.  They were teal colored.  After a few Luxtini’s we stumbled over to SEI and the Stamping Station parties.  We of course ate more food and by this time we were all tired and ready for bed, until…..we got a phone call from Gibert who was at a seminar all day with the smart group.  Guess who won the $5,000.00 grand prize.  Yep!!!  It was Gilby!!!  So, now it was time to party yet again!!!  We had to celebrate our winnings.  Gilby is so lucky!!!  He wins all the time.  So it was down the street with friends to the Ram Pub and Brewery for more food, dessert, drinks, and lots of fun.  And all of this exciting fun was after getting only four hours of sleep last night.  So on that note were are off to sleep for a few hours again before starting another day at CHA Chicago.  Stay tuned for more info.  Michelle and Julie
