One of our customers was working on the cutest cupcake invitation last week at the Club Java crop. I just couldn’t resist taking a photo and posting it here for inspiration. Thanks, Jennifer!

Below is another view of the “open” invitation. Isn’t it just too adorable?

Did you know you can create a folded (double) die cut from regular dies? Well, you can and it’s as easy as can be.

First cut a piece of paper (preferably cardstock) double the size of the die. Double either the length or the width depending on how you want to fold.

Second, place the folded paper on the die so that the fold lies just within the cutting edge of the shape. Keep in mind that every bit of paper outside of the die blades gets cut, so it is super important to keep the fold within the die’s cutting edge.

Third, cut the die as normal, and voila… you will have a double, folded image of your die shape!

This is a great way to make shaped cards or stand up shapes (by placing the fold at the bottom). folded_die_cut_book_mbottom_fold_die_cuts_m
