There are two new lines that have my juices flowing! The first is the new Daisy D’s line in the fall colors: olive, teal, burnt orange, fuscia and nutmeg. The paper reminds me of

vintage wall coverings. The line has coordinating cardstock stickers. There is journal boxes in the shape of hearts, photo borders, inspirational sayings and festive flowers.

The other line that caught my eye is from BoBunny. The bright colored papers are so “happy.” I love the fuscia,

lime green, turquoise, and yellow! We even have the BoBunny rub ons to coordinate. Happy Birthday, Flowers, Borders, Swirls… so many possibilities! (posted by SusanB)

Best Creation Inc.

Think Basic Grey meets Heidi Grace meets Junkitz meets Doodlebug and maybe some other companies that aren’t coming to mind just now. This stuff is gorgeous, glittery and double-sided too! What more can you ask for? There’s also coordinated embellishments. Everything pictured here is from Best Creations and I love it all!!!

I stopped into SGT this morning for the Tuesday morning crop and new products were EVERYWHERE! The new Quickutz shapes were released today; adorable playground equipment, school buses, backpacks, cute summer sayings, a thermos and lunch box die set, great mini book die sets…I want them all!!

Then, right as you walk in the store to the right is a large, blank space on the wall. A HUGE shipment of goodies is expected and will be filling up that space!! How exciting! The store already has all the new BasicGrey, tons of new Karen Foster, awesome rub-ons from Luxe Designs, gorgeous glitter papers from Best Creations, Inc….stop in and check it out. It’s like a mini-CHA right here in San Dimas!

Also, while you’re in the store, don’t forget to pick up your $5 passport for the SoCalShopHop, going on the second week of September. Visit 12 stores, have your passport stamped, and be entered for a drawing for a $50 gift certificate. Visit all 29 stores and be entered to win a scrapbooking cruise! Make SGT your first stop on the Shop Hop. See you on the road!

There are so many new things in the store and I want them all! Cute papers and matching stickers and rub ons from Reminisce for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. They also have the new Water Park paper that will work well with any “water” layout you are working on. Also new is the Karen Foster Pirate paper (and wood emellishments and too cute brads), Halloween paper and Fall paper, and my favorite her new School Line. I especially like the Science Fair paper and matching stickers and she has brads that are in the shape of lab beekers! Oh my, the possibilities are endless!!! Enjoy! (posted by Susan B.)

Stop by the store on 8/8 between 11:30am and 1:00pm for a fun flowerful make-n-take. We’ll be mixing it up with all sorts of textures and products to create unique layered flowers similar to the ones shown here (these are from Jennifer Priest’s “Flower Power” class last month).

 Hope to see you!

vivina’s cards

There is nothing like a handmade card to really let your friends and family know how much you care. If you want to learn to make truly beautiful cards, then you just *have* to take a class from Vivina. My very first class at SGT was one of Vivina’s card classes and I love what we created. In fact, I guess I like them too much because I haven’t been able to part with any of them yet (see how purdy they are?)

I really do love making cards. First off, they are a great way to use small scrap pieces left over from other projects. Also, making cards can be a great way to jump-start your creativity and jolt you out of a slump. They are a great way to “play” on a small scale and not worry too much about making mistakes.

But if you just want to put together an awesome set of gorgeous cards, then take one of Vivina’s creative card classes – she will inspire you with some great ideas that you can use over and over again!
