If you have not been in SGT lately, girl, are you missing out!! Recently the new KI Memories line of Pop Culture papers was set out on the shelves. There are stamps, diecut lace papers, shimmer patterned papers–fun fun fun!! You have to check out the diecut lace papers–they really are like lace. Some of them are made up of numbers, alphabets, flowers, or swirls. And they come in all different colors. Here’s a snapshot of some of the candy I picked up when I was in earlier this week:KI Candy

So make sure you check it all out! Hurry in before it is all gone-ski.

There’s less than a month until Christmas … and that means only a couple more scrapbook classes until the end of the year! Have you gotten gifts for all of the “nice” people on your list?

PJ and I have designed the perfect class for the season. Our 6×12 “Our Family Story” book is the perfect gift for that special family member or the always hard to buy for, “person who has everything”.  Here’s the cover of the book:

Our Family Story Cover

Better yet, *wow* your friends and family by completing the book for yourself as a coffee table keepsake and conversation piece. Your loved ones will enjoy reading your story, as captured in this book, while enjoying a cup of cocoa during a winter afternoon’s visit. Tell your family’s story in an elegantly shabby chic way for future generations to enjoy.
Please join us on  December 2, 2007 at 12:30pm to make this family treasure!

We still have a few spaces open in the class so make sure to reserve your spot today.  If you can’t make the class date, no problem; simply call to reserve a class kit. We’ll leave your kit at the store for you to pick up at your convenience. The sample is on display in the store so feel free to take a closer look.

Also, PJ and I have created some gorgeous stocking stuffers and office gifts as our add-ons! Many of these gifts are already beautifully wrapped and ready-to-give.  We’ve created gift packs which have handmade altered items featuring assorted chocolates–perfect gifts for co-workers, teachers, and neighbors! And we’ve also created sets of handmade cards and tags in case you haven’t quite got the time to create your own this year. Even if you are not in the class or just taking home the kit, we welcome you to purchase add-ons on the day of the class.  We will have plenty to go around! Check out sneak peeks of the add-ons on Jennifer’s blog.

We look forward to seeing you in our last class of the year! And Happy Holidays!

 From: PJ and Jennifer!

Every Tuesday SGT opens it doors at 9am just for you to come in early and crop! For FREE! I love going in to the Tuesday AM crops, getting an early start on my day, checking out the new product that just got put on the shelves…its a great time to make new friends, crop, and shop. Plus you can’t beat the price: $0! No sign-ups are needed–just bring your supplies and find a seat. See you there, bright and early!

Get ready to have a “good time” because the Good Time Girls are at Scrapbook Expo Ontario! The Girls have created some FABULOUS make-n-takes for you to make right there in our booth. These projects are all embellished and cute-i-fied to the max! We have several different projects we’ll be teaching over both days at the Expo so stop by our booth several times each day to get your spot at the make-n-take stations.

Also, the Good Time Girls have created some gorgeous layouts that will be displayed in the booth– be sure to take a close look at those pages as they have some extra secret embellishments on them! All the surprises will be unveiled at the Scrappin’ Good Times booth at Expo starting on Friday–so make it your first stop when you come in the door at Expo!  See you there…

This Thursday, October 11, I’ll be teaching my “Our Little Angel” class here at the store. I still have three spots left in the class–sign up before this little gem is gone forever! Though I have baby pictures in this book, it can be used for a teenager, rocker, biker, romantic interest (hubby or boyfriend), or whoever that “untamed heart” is in your life. We’ll be using loads of Swarovski crystals, acetate elements, paint, and die-cuts made using SGT’s EXCLUSIVE “Heart and Wings” Quickutz Die Set to make this book sing to your soul. Don’t miss out–this is the last class in my “Our Little…” class series until 2008! I hope to see you on Thursday!

P.S. If you can’t make it to any class at Scrappin’ Good Times because of a scheduling conflict, ask if there are kits available for the class. Most instructors offer kits and you can purchase them from the store before the class to ensure that one will be reserved for you. The kits are usually available the night of the class for pick up.

There are so many new products all throughout the store that it is hard to keep track of it all. Yesterday I was taking a little stroll around the store and tucked in the front corner were these super cute papers from Bo Bunny’s new “Vintage Carnival” line. I was struck with inspiration and took a couple of each sheet, not sure what I would create just yet, but sure that I wanted that paper! As I was walking to the back of the store I saw this awesome display of Foo-Fa-La “Bags O’ Buttons” by Autumn Leaves. One of the Bags O’ Buttons, the “Going Places” Collection, matched the Bo Bunny paper PERFECTLY! Lizette was working with the die-cutting machine and one of the new coaster dies we just got in. I borrowed the machine from her for a few minutes and cut a few pieces of chipboard into coasters, cut a couple pieces of cardstock to cover them, went home, and created this, in one evening:

These are only a few of the pages from the book. For complete photos please check out my gallery or come to the Class Kickoff (this Friday night, October 5th from 5-7pm) to get a closer look at this book–all the supplies you need to create it are right there in the store, from the ribbon, to the paper, to the Quickutz dies. The book is a store sample so please feel free to match the papers and ribbons and take photos.

So take a stroll through the store because you never know where inspiration will strike or where you’ll find that scrapbooking diamond in the rough!

If you have not yet stopped by Scrappin’ Good Times on the Shop Hop trail to get your passport stamped, don’t worry! Our hours have been extended (see the post below for details).

As a result you’ll be able to shop while there are several classes going on right in the store each evening and on the weekend. You have the special opportunity to see our classes and some of our instructors in action first-hand! Some of the classes still have spots or kits available So if you stop in and see a class going on, ask if there are extra kits. Better yet, ask if you can still join the class! Take advantage of these classes while you’re out and about this week:

Another tip: SGT is situated off the Arrow Highway exit off the 57 freeway. This is a great place to fuel up–for yourself and your car! There are a great variety of fast food places (A&W, KFC, Taco Bell, Del Taco, Carl’s Jr, The Yogurt Station, McDonald’s, Starbuck’s, El Pollo Loco, etc) and sit down restaurants (Michaelangelo’s Pizza, Red Robin, Cask N Cleaver, Applebee’s, Denny’s, Zendejas, etc) as well as several gas stations (Mobil, Shell, etc…) and a Target across the freeway. Make them your lunch or dinner time stop so you only have to pull off the freeway one time to take care of all your needs.

I stopped into SGT this morning for the Tuesday morning crop and new products were EVERYWHERE! The new Quickutz shapes were released today; adorable playground equipment, school buses, backpacks, cute summer sayings, a thermos and lunch box die set, great mini book die sets…I want them all!!

Then, right as you walk in the store to the right is a large, blank space on the wall. A HUGE shipment of goodies is expected and will be filling up that space!! How exciting! The store already has all the new BasicGrey, tons of new Karen Foster, awesome rub-ons from Luxe Designs, gorgeous glitter papers from Best Creations, Inc….stop in and check it out. It’s like a mini-CHA right here in San Dimas!

Also, while you’re in the store, don’t forget to pick up your $5 passport for the SoCalShopHop, going on the second week of September. Visit 12 stores, have your passport stamped, and be entered for a drawing for a $50 gift certificate. Visit all 29 stores and be entered to win a scrapbooking cruise! Make SGT your first stop on the Shop Hop. See you on the road!

For all of you who love the Quickutz Silhouette but have a computer with the Vista operating system, your Silhouette will now work with your new computer! The update is now up on the Qk website:

All you have to do is follow the prompts to get started using your Silhouette today. I only found out about the upgrade because I had emailed Quickutz about my Silhouette on Saturday. Today, Brian from Quickutz called me personally to discuss my email. During our discussion, he mentioned that Quickutz would have the Silhouette update for Vista users available later today on their website. And he was right! Can you believe that?! Awesome, personal customer service AND a compnay that does what they say they will. Just gotta love Quickutz!

If you have not yet purchased a Silhouette (maybe because you are leery of getting a machine that has to hook up to your computer…) you should take Gilbert and Julie’s Silhouette 101 Class on August 14th. They will show you the ins and outs of getting your Silhouette to do amazing things! And now that the Silhouette is compatible with Vista, what are you waiting for?!
