We currently have the Holiday Issue of Creating Keepsakes Magazine! This issue is packed with creative ideas for making Gift Albums, Layouts and Tags! There is even a contest!!!

One section in the magazine has creative holiday layout quotes for your pages. Such as “Oh What Fun,” or  “Maybe Christmas,” he thought, “doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas… perhaps… means a little bit more!” – The Grinch, How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss or  even this quote from Leland Thomas, “In the eyes of children we find the joy of Christmas. In their hearts we find its meaning.”

And then, if that is not enough creative holiday goodness they threw in an Advent Calendar contest:

Create a completely personalized Advent calendar at and enter it in our advent calendar design contest. Ten lucky winners will receive free calendars and coupons for discounts on Memory Box Calendars products!

I love Advent Calendars! Love, love them. How fun to create a Advent Layout! I can not wait to see what all of you have submitted! Happy Creating! ~Susan B.

Baby Stuff

Is Santa bringing a bundle of joy to someone you know? Are you looking for some adorable “baby” inspired paper and can only find spooky Halloween or vintage Christmas? Well, Scrappin’ Good Times has a great Baby Line from American Crafts. This line makes wonderful layouts, cards and projects. The American Crafts blog is full of ideas. The paper does not fight with photographs and in fact works beautifully with the black and white photos! Love the softness of this group.  Cute, cute, cute! Happy Creating! ~Susan B.

Shade 006

This line is SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!! Love, love, love the colors and the whimsy behind these fabulous papers from Sassafras! This group of “excitement” is from a line called Serendipity – Monstrosity! So cute –  with the characters on them and the circus type feeling. At first I was thinking about using the papers for a “Pre-School” layout, but then thought they would be wonderful for an “LA County Fair” layout! Just a “happy” group of papers. Plus we have the coordinating Journal Tag Stickers and the coordinating Sweet Treat Stickers. This line will put a smile on your face when you see it! Happy Creating! ~Susan B.

Bo Bunny 003

Bo Bunny 001

We just received several NEW collections from Bo Bunny! And boy are they adorable!!! These lines were released during the recent CHA Show and are NEW, NEW, NEW!!! I am a seasonal scrapbooker and so I am so inspired by the new BOO CREW line for Halloween. Love the colors, so vibrant and the characters are adorable too! The Christmas lines you will find inspirational. One has more of a wintery snow flake feel and the other is more of traditional one with Ol’ Saint Nicholas on the paper! Each will make a great layout or a mini album to give as a gift! Now is the time to get started on those handmade projects! Happy Creating ~Susan B.

This line from Kaiser Craft called Allsorts, is so much fun! It is very bright and colorful! Will make a wonder layout about your girlie girl! The papers have such fun names as “Girlie Girl,” “Mango,” Lime,” and “Passionfruit!” This paper is double sided too so you can make the most of each sheet! Would make cute tags too – if you wanted to welcome your girlie girls friends back to school! Happy Creating! ~Susan B.

Scrap_Therapy 005

Grandparents Day is September 13th this year! So for my Scrap Therapy Project, I thought how wonderful it would be to make a card for our grandparents. This card can also be used for other occasions as it simply says on the outside “Love You.” You can make this card on Thursday (August 20th) for Scrap Therapy with Dr. Ho! Scrap Therapy is every Thursday evening from 5pm until 7pm. This card project involves paper weaving, so it should be fun to put together! Happy Creating! ~Susan B.

My Mind's Eye 005

My Mind's Eye 006

This is the cutest Halloween themed paper collection! Plus with the eye candy embellishments, yum yum! Boo To You! is the name of the paper group from My Mind’s Eye. The collection has brad’s, ribbon, sticker borders and die-cut chipboard. Plus our creative staff has pre-cut some dies of our own that you can purchase to add even more creative goodness to your project! I can see this paper used in a mini chipboard album. What a great gift for a teacher, or to a grandparent. The paper is all double sided so you get more for your money… or more treats for your “boo!” Happy Haunting! And “Boo to You!” ~Susan B.

We received several new lines from Dream Street Papers! And they are so cute! The colors are wonderful to use when scrapbooking layouts and using photographs. The muted tones add to the photos and enhance them in a subtle way. Happy Creating ~Susan B.

mini album2

We just received a new shipment of these beautiful, inspirational books that feature the making of Mini Albums. Mini albums make the perfect gift for someone – plus it is a great time to start a mini album to give as a gift for Christmas. This book highlights several types of mini albums – one of which will definitely appeal to your scrapbooking style. I have to mention there is one about Harley Davidson Motorcycles that is the most creative thing! Truly the cutest! And you do not necessarily have to make a mini album, each one the pages in the albums featured in this book  could be a wonderful layout. Oh and the Fourth of July Album in this book features the new paper line from Melissa Frances. Such a cute album to share with the kids whom you spent the fourth with! Happy Creating! ~Susan B.
