Ooooh, I’m just so excited about the new software update that I just installed on my Silhousette.  Yeah!  Finally we can weld words and make a shadow for them without  using another program.  It is so easy and so much fun.  Hmmmm, I think I can now uninstall my Inkscape program. When I opened my digital library, I found about 40 new shapes that came with the new software.  There’s a cake, some leaves, flourishes, tags, a snowflake, a spider web and much more.  Oooh, I need some more play time!!  Quickutz has also reduced their prices…their shapes are now $1.99 or you can also purchase a monthly or yearly membership.  And it gets  even better, the price of their mats and blades also went down.  They now sell for $9.99,  Much more affordable.  Thank you Quickutz!

I’ve been busy this weekend making some more inking blocks.  Everyone has been asking for them, and they will be for sale at SGT on Tuesday, February 3rd.  The last time I brought these in they sold in one day.   I’m working as fast as I can, and I will try to make twice as many as last time.   Each block sells for $.99 and comes with three felt pads.  Hope to see you on Tuesday!

Here’s a peek at all the dies that were recently added to our die cut center. They are all so cute!  Dies are so much fun to work with and can add so much to any layout or card.  I’m currently updating our die cut sample book and will be adding some really cool Accucut shapes in the next few days.  Stop by the store and take a free die cutting class.  Once you’ve taken this class, you can  use our die cut center at any time.  The fee for using the die cut center is $2 for 15 minutes,  $3 for 30 minutes or $5  for one hour.  You can also purchase a monthly membership for $10 or a yearly membership for $50.

If you’re looking for a good, strong adhesive to use on all your bling,  you’ve got to try this great product.  I absolutely love it, and I use it every time I need to adhere any rhinestones to my projects.  Just put a little dab behind your rhinestone and adhere it to your project.  Once dry, it is very strong.  If you try to remove your rhinestone, part of the paper actually comes off with it.  I have several projects that are at least four years old and all my bling is still securely attached.  Must try!!!

In our house, every time  we change the time on our clocks, we also replace the batteries on our smoke detectors.  We have been doing this for as long as I can remember.  This makes it so easy for us because we don’t have to keep track of what date those batteries were replaced.  It’s just automatic…change the time, replace the batteries.  When did you last replace the batteries on your smoke detectors?  Life is just too precious…do it now.

Whew!  I had such a productive day today, and it feels so good to get so much done.  I started off the morning by paying all my bills online, I cleaned up my scrapbook room, I then turned on my Silhouette and cut out all the letters needed for the Season of Giving Joy Blocks, I scored all the little folders for the SOG Notepad Holder and cut out all the tiny velcro squares needed to keep them closed. I then took a break and Arturo and I went to the movies and saw “Pride and Glory”.  We loved it!  Lots of action, lots of violence, but great story.  Afterwards we went to The Hat and shared a pastrami sandwich and an order of fries….yummy!  When we got home, I went straight to my scrapbook room and got to work again.  I put  together another 50 inking blocks.  I know so many of you have been waiting for these, and I’m sorry that I just can’t seem to put them together fast enough.  These 50 inking blocks will be for sale tomorrow, Oct. 31st. The cost for each block is $.99 and each comes with 3 felt pads.  I love using these blocks for inking. If you’ve never used these before, ask for a demo the next time you see me in the store.

Don’t forget, SGT will be closing at 3 pm tomorrow so everyone can get ready for all those trick or treaters.  Happy Haunting!

Oooh, I can hardly wait until Saturday.  SGT will be having make and takes all day long and they are all so cute.  I think I’ll treat myself this year and make one of each for myself.  I rarely find time to do much for myself, but these are just too darn cute to pass up.  There is a slight correction…our newsletter shows the wrong photo of the Celebrate You Tin.  Due to availability, some of the paper had to be changed, so we came up with a new design (shown in photo).  By the way, that cute baby girl in the photo frame is my grandniece, Rylee.  As you all know,  Tricia and I flew to Denver this summer to meet her.  The first time she saw me, she gave me the biggest smile you can imagine. I, of course, instantly fell madly in love with her.  I got to spend four wonderful days with her and her two year old brother, Aiden (I’m crazy about him too).  They were both so much fun and I am missing them terribly.  I just might have to take another trip to Denver real soon.

Whoo Hoo!  After so many requests, I’ve decided to teach an October card class.  You will absolutely love the four new designs that I’ve come up.  They are so, so cute!  With Halloween just around the corner, I’ve decided to include two Halloween Cards.  And, since we all need an early start with our holiday card making, I have also included two Christmas cards.   Last year, my holiday card class was very popular and both classes sold out.  Call up SGT to secure your spot asap.  Hope to see you in class. Eeeek!!!! It’s that time of the year again…HALLOWEEN!  I love this time of the year and I love seeing the excitement on the faces of all those little ghosts and goblins as they trick or treat on Halloween night.  I was in the store today and I spent the afternoon putting out two new lines of Halloween paper by Reminisce.  There’s a fun Halloween/Autumn line filled with adorable little ghost and owls in beautiful fall colors of green, orange and brown.  Both sets come with some really cute die cut stickers and rub ons.  Oooh, I just love it!  Of course, I had to buy it all.  Both lines are adorable and several customers were putting them in their baskets as I was putting them out.  These are sure to sell quickly, so hurry on down to SGT and pick yours up.   Oh, I almost forgot….there’s also a new winter line and a huge school line.  Beautiful!!

Oooh, these flowers are so, so pretty!  I have to give Pamela Densmore credit for this great technique that she used while preparing for a Scarp Therapy project.  In the past, I’ve always painted or inked my acetate shapes, but I never realized that they could also be embossed.  I love this look, and I am so excited about finding a new way to use all my GoozeBumps (Quickutz) and embossing folders.  Thanks Pamela, you are so talented!  I don’t care if you have a green tongue.  At least you were color coordinated…your green tongue matched your hawaiian outfit.  You’re too funny!!!!!
