I was recently in the store and was so excited to find papers and stickers from Sassafras Lass!  I love their papers with it’s fun patterns and clever edges that you can cut and use on your layouts.  Another great reason to hurry over to SGT!  Hope you all had a great weekend!

I had to put together a birthday gift for my friends little boy, and I wasn’t sure what to buy….So, what young boy wouldn’t like some cold, hard cash for his birthday?!  Here is what I came up with, using the new clear boxes at SGT:

I got the idea to “roll” up the cash from one of the classes at SGT.  Thank you to Julie, the SGT instructor whose class “All Rolled Up” inspired me! 🙂

P.S.-Apparently when my friend delivered the gift to her son, he thought it was a great to “unroll” all that cash!  He hand wrote me the cutest thank you note!

I bought this bucket and shovel for $1.00 and turned it into this……

An Easter basket for my daughter!

Enjoy the day!

Yesterday and today, the website is hosting a “blog hop.”  They have gathered several different design team girl’s blogs and posted them at their website.  You can click on each member’s blog and find a different Easter/Spring project designed especially for Pink Paislee.  So far, I have looked through about half of the blogs and have seen several great ideas!  They even have a chance to win some scrapbook supplies if you leave a comment/post at each blog site.  Thought I would share this with all of you….have fun…and happy spring!

My husband bought me a sewing machine this past Christmas, and I am just now getting around to learning about how it works.  So far, I LOVE it; lots of neat features and stitches!  I have never really had much experience sewing, but my major reason for wanting one was so I could sew on my scrapbook page layouts.  I know this technique has been around for a while, but I haven’t been brave enough to have a go at it…..but, fear no more, I am ready to make an attempt!!!  Wish me luck!   Maybe I will share some of my creations soon 🙂

I saw this cute idea on a scrapbookers blog (one of the regular contributors in Creating Keepsakes magazine, Elizabeth Kartchner) and thought how cute to combine a mini scrapbook with a fabric covered cover.  And, of course, it really caught my eye because of my recent infatuation with the whole “owl/woodland creature” theme that seems to be popping up all over!!  Anyway, I decided that I would try my luck at it; and since so many of the good time girls have been sharing their beautiful creations on this blog, I thought I would too!  Here is what I came up with:

The cover is hand stitched with a small amount of batting on the inside to give the owl some “puff,” and then I just traced the owl shape onto some yellow cardstock for the inside pages, and held it all together with a ring clip, which is hidden behind the flower.  Have a happy week!

Now that Valentine’s Day is over, if you have any heart shaped chocolate boxes leftover…..before just throwing them away, think SCRAPBOOK!  Cover the box with your scrapbook paper, trace the heart shape onto some cardstock for using as pages on the inside, and presto, change-o, you have a cute little mini scrapbook inside a heart shaped box!  I have seen this idea before, and it is a good use of your empty chocolate boxes.  Happy Scrapbooking!

Don’t forget….tonight at 7pm SGT is having their biggest sale ever!  40% off!  Wow!!!!  They will be open late, from 7-9pm for this event and you won’t want to miss it!  What a great opportunity to get some wonderful scrapbook supplies at a great price!  Happy Shopping!!  🙂

In case anyone is interested, I recently found a scrapping blog/website, (through the Ali Edwards site) called Elle’s studio.  Elle is doing a “handmade with Love” week (Jan.17-24) that include free downloads, giveaways and fun valentine project ideas.  The address is  Just some fun stuff to look, and cute ideas.

A very good friend of mine, Monique, heard about Crystal and volunteered to host a free crop at her house to complete scrapbook pages to donate to Crystal.  The crop was on Jan. 3, 2009, and I attended it for a few hours and completed several 2 page layouts to donate.  By the end of the day, Monique had a basket FULL of layouts!!!  I was so excited to see so many pretty layouts!  One of the women who attended, Maria, is a Longaberger Basket consultant.   She donated a Longaberger basket to be raffled off at the end of the day.  If you donated any completed page layouts, then your name was entered into the raffle.  I was the winner of the donated basket!  I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Maria Getz for donating such a lovely prize for the raffle, and also to Monique Beck for hosting such a wonderful crop at her home to help Crystal.  And, to all of the women who donated their time, talent and completed page layout kits; Thank you so much for helping someone in need.
