What makes a great scrapbook store

Posted on: May 20, 2009

I remember the first time I saw the sign to SGT’s.  I was driving on Arrow Hwy. and saw a sign the said Scrapbooks.  I almost ran into the curb.  I was so excited to know I was going to have a store so close to home.  It was there first day and from the first time I entered the store I was sold on the place.  At that time they didn’t have much product.  But what they lacked in product they made up in their charm.  Trish, Vivina, Arturo and Gilby were all so friendly and helpful.  You are always greeted with a Hi and a smile.  And you are always made to feel  so welcome to stay and browse around.  Little by little I wasn’t going to other stores as much and SGT’s became my home store.  I have to say I truly am a SGT’s girl like many of you are.

I know all of us have been touched by the bad economic times.  Speaking for myself my husband & I are self employed and have felt the crunch. We each have a hobby Norio’s is Golf mine is scrapbooking.  That is our time to leave all the problems and worries at the door be with some friends and enjoy ourselves.  Tuesdays is my crop day at the store.  There is a great group of women who come in and crop.  We all have our problems, weather it’s money, health, family, jobs etc. but this is our time to forget all that and enjoy a few hours doing what we love.  So we crop we laugh (alot) and sometimes some goodies are brought in,Yum 🙂  But what makes that possible is Trish, Vivina, Arturo, Gilby.  They make you feel so welcome.  So the next time you need some paper or supplies for your projects come on down to SGT’s.  Let’s all support our Home Stores.
