I have enjoyed spending the last week with my daughter, Jamie.  She is home on spring break and the week definately went by way too fast.  In between her spending time with her friends we got to spend girl time shopping in LA and at the Mall, and a not so great time at the hair dresser.  We all need at least one bad visit to the hair dresser in our lifetime, right??  Jamie leaves tomorrow but will return in just a short five weeks and then we will have her back for the summer…well hopefully…she is talking about a summer internship and her sorority BFF has invited her to come stay with her for a few weeks.  She is from the Netherlands!  Anyway…Jamie had to make a kite for her sorority sister and this is what we came up with.   Julie

My husband bought me a sewing machine this past Christmas, and I am just now getting around to learning about how it works.  So far, I LOVE it; lots of neat features and stitches!  I have never really had much experience sewing, but my major reason for wanting one was so I could sew on my scrapbook page layouts.  I know this technique has been around for a while, but I haven’t been brave enough to have a go at it…..but, fear no more, I am ready to make an attempt!!!  Wish me luck!   Maybe I will share some of my creations soon 🙂

Markscrap_therapy_040209-b1 your calendars for this coming Thursday, April 2nd. The Scrap Therapy project will be a spring inspired card featuring two new die’s from Quickutz. Quickutz recently came out with three dimensional die’s. Here we utilized a flower and a dragonfly on this whimsical card, which is enhanced with the new paper line from Bella Blvd called Swing Into Spring. Every Thursday evening we have a cute project for you to create in less than twenty minutes. The price is typically $3 and is limited to quantities in hand. Sometimes we have more projects than “patients” and they become available the next day for $5 (typically, some projects could be more). All the supplies needed are provided for you. Or you could bring your own adhesive. Scrap Therapy is an awesome way to learn a new technique. Plus each week the projects are designed by a member of the Design Team so you will be exposed to different artists talents. The hand written “April showers…” saying has already been written for you. You just need to assemble the card and then brighten someones day! Quantities limited! Happy Creating –Susan B
