Glimmer Mists

on:I’m a bit late posting this pic, but sharing it anyway. These are the items from a class I took at Prima hqtrs last month. Let me tell you folks, this class was a lightbulb moment for me! Our instructor was Liz Hicks who is a certified instructor for both Prima and Tattered Angels and she opened up a whole new world of wonderful techniques during this class. We used Glimmer Mists to color chipboard, flowers, and trim. What I especially liked was using the lighter shades of the Glimmer Mist – you can use them to vary your look from a subtle shimmer to a more intense burst of color.
Some tips for using Glimmer Mist:
- Do not shake the bottles up and down – it clogs the spraying mechanism. Instead shake them from side to side only.
- For best (even) results, try to spray lightly and from as reasonably far a distance as you can (too close and you’re more likely to have splatters)
- Plan ahead for drying time for your pieces as they will be pretty wet when you’re done –or use a heat gun to help speed the drying
- “Fabri-tac” adhesive can be used on items that aren’t dry yet
Now, I know Michelle ordered a whole bunch of Glimmer Mist for the store last month. But the stuff has been *flying* off the shelves. Last time I checked we were down to just a couple of bottles. But hang in there –I know we’ll be getting some more in soon!
