Scrappin' Good Times Blog

I was scanning through some of the magazines at SGT the other day and I ran across an ad that showed how to use a lint roller to pick up small beads and crystals.   I thought this was a really cool idea!!  Not just for lint anymore.  Julie

Earthquake!

Today the Club Java croppers had the joy of inspecting the carpet under the SGT cropping tables. EEeeeeek! The store is only about 15 miles from the epicenter so we felt it pretty good.  We really bonded while we huddled under those tables and are all so much closer now. ;-D

Where were *you* when the tremblor struck?

You never know where you will get cute ideas from! I bought the Fiesta font from Quickutz and was unable to toss the cute Piñata that housed the dies. I decided to make a card from the idea. I cut out in red paper, folded over the shape of the piñata. I glued festive colored scrap papers that I had cut into strips. Cut them half way up and then curled the ends of the paper. Starting from his feet I glued them to the red card. I used red crinkled, packaging-stuffing for his tail. Added a blue wiggly eye, and some festive ribbon as a “leash.”   The inside of the card says “Let’s Break Open Some Fun!” To make the card like a piñata, I glued red tissue paper to one of the insides. Made several candy pieces from various Quickutz dies. Put the candy inside the card and glued down the other half of the tissue paper. Stamped a message that said “Open” “Here” so the recipient knew to tear open the tissue to reveal the sweet treats and the inside message! All this from a package! Easy to make! Enjoy! -Susan B.

Just wanted to share some of my pics that I have been uploading on my blog.  My faves are Little Yellow Bicycle, Basic Grey, Doodlebug, KI Memories, Prima, Fancy Pants… geesh!  Who am I kidding!! The list goes on and on…. so come on over and check out some pictures!!
