Once again our Queen of the Quickuts club met this past Thursday night. And once again we had a great turn out and some great entries for our Quickuts contest. For those of you who are not familiar with this, we meet the last Thursday of each month. The cost is $12.00 and with that you receive a free die, a super cute project and 40% off all your Quickuts orders. And if your really lucky you get to indulge in delicious desserts made by one of our sweetest (no pun intended) but she is very sweet customers Victoria. She always manages to blow us away with whatever she makes. This week she was nice enough to share her recipe with me, so now I am sharing it with you. I’m not sure what she calls it, but I would call it the adult version of rice krispie treats.

Boil together 1 cup sugar, 1 cup lite Karo syrup in a large sauce pan. Remove from heat once mixture comes to a boil. Mix in 1 cup creamy peanut butter, then add 6 cups rice krispies. When completely mixed spray a 9×13 pan with pam and spread rice krispie mixture. Last step is to melt chocolate and spread completely over the top and let it set in the refrigerator for about 10 to 15 minutes. Once this is done you must get in your car and drive down to Scrappin Good Times and share with Michelle, Trish and I !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just kidding.

Enjoy!!!! Val

Do you know what Friday is…Class Kick-Off!  It’s like Christmas for me.  I love seeing what our SGT instructors have created!  I just saw a sneak peek of Lizett’s class and I am going to rush in to be first on the list…I don’t want to give away too much info, but it’s very pink, very frilly, and OH SO GIRLY!  So what are you doing Friday night!  How about coming on down to SGT and hang with the Good Time Girls from 5 to 7 pm and see all of their beautiful creations!

Hope to see you there!

Just three more days to load up on Love, Elsie by KI Memories, Heidi Grace, and Cloud 9. Thought I’d share some of the yummies that were on the racks a few days ago:

And here are some fun project samples from the store to inspire you!

I was trying to catch up on reading some of my scrapbook magazines, and I came across an article in the July issue of Creating Keepsakes that I thought was a pretty neat idea when you have many great pictures, and want to include them all in your scrapbook.  The idea was from Elizabeth Kartchner (she does the advice column for Creating Keepsakes).  The article talks about using “six-up” photo sleeves in between your regular scrapbook pages so that you have the ability to showcase more pictures.  She even showed examples of how you could “embellish” (oh, how I love that word!)  the photo sleeves so they blend in within your scrapbook pages.  I was thinking about putting this idea to good use with the many pictures I took on our vacation!
