My sister-in-law Andrea called me this morning to ask me if I would make her a Fourth of July card. When I asked what it was for, she said she has been sending packages to a soldier in Iraq and wanted to send him something for the fourth. She decorated the package with red, white and blue tissue paper and some patriotic decorations. It always makes me feel good when I can contribute to a good cause. I let Andrea know that I would be more than happy to make cards for any future packages. I also, made the same card for our July showcase at the store which will be displayed Tuesday. Have a great and safe fourth and keep our troops and their families in your prayers!!

Im sure many of us will have lots of pictures to scrap after the 4th of July, well there is plenty of paper and embellishments to do it with. The store is packed with super cute 4th of July lines, like Rusty Pickle, Bo Bunny, Reminisce, Scenic Route and I’m sure many more that I just cant think of right now. I stopped by earlier this week and grabbed some paper from the Bo bunny 4th of July line. I just completed a 2 page layout and it just came so easy to me because the papers all went together so beautifully. I especially love the distressed lookof this line. So take lots of pictures this Friday or maybe even dig into the ones from past years and have fun creating a cute patriotic layout.

I just bought some new summer clothes. I was taking off the tags and realized how cute they were! A lot of the tags had some cute graphics and then there were others that you could just use as journal tags.  I had just bought my girls some new flip flops that had cute beach scenes on the tags. I’ve put all of them in a bag and put them with all my summer scrap supplies. I can’t wait to use them! I also tried using those clear labels for jounaling. They work perfect! The only problem was that the larger mailing labels were a little expensive.  Now I am motivated to get all my pages journaled………..
