we just got the new SCORE PAL in. I have been wanting this thing for awhile now and didn’t know where I could get it and I was pleasantly surprised to see that we carry it. What’s does it do you ask??? If you are a card maker this is a TOTAL MUST HAVE–it’s like having Quickutz dies and not having the tool to cut it. It helps scores the papers effortlessly. I love having clean lines and it doesn’t tear thru your paper like some other score tools. You can also make boxes and some other things but I haven’t had a chance to experiment with it yet. For those of you that take Vivina’s Card Creations class this would be an awesome tool to have so you can make more cards with ease. Anything to make my life easier is well worth it. We have the store well stocked with these along the wall where the paper trimmers are. (To be honest I don’t think many people have seen these because everyone’s busy looking at all the new papers!) New products are coming out daily so be sure to stop on by the store DAILY–if you can! {peej}

Did you know that March is National Craft Month? Well, it is! So here are some tips on how to be more crafty this month (exerpted from

Get involved – Crafting doesn’t have to be something you do alone. Be part of something:

  • Take a class– try something new or brush up on old skills. Take a friend and share the experience.
  • Volunteer to share your crafting expertise- work with local scouting troops, nursing homes, your local library, after school programs or community centers.
  • Join a crafting club, quilting guild or attend a crop – Can’t find a local group? Start your own! Contact your local craft store if you need help spreading the word and getting started.
  • Connect with kids – Children of all ages love to craft. Use National Craft Month to get in on the fun with your children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews!

Happy crafting!

If you’re a Revolution owner and lover of Quickutz, you’ve heard about the 12″ platform that will be out soon.  When I left the store last night, there were only THREE left of the special offer (pre-purchase your platform for 39.99 and receive a FREE heart 12″ die, a 24.99 value).  When these three are gone, that’s the end of the special.  This is even a better deal than getting 30% off both items!  I got mine already.  Do you have yours?   Barbara

Easter is less than two weeks away, but there is still time to make a nice Easter basket gift. For kids who are a little older (and think that looking for Easter eggs in the grass is for the younger crowd) but still would like to receive something, Scrappin’ Good Times has clear pails on sale half price! They come with cute chipboard accents such as flowers, and decorative borders… these are something for you. You can use these on your pages or as an embellishment to a project. The pail then could be altered using Easter paper to line the inside of the pail. We have cute papers from Reminisce, Karen Foster and Making Memories. Fill the pail with some Easter grass and gift cards, candy, jewelry, lip gloss, etc… Add some ribbon to the handle and make a cute gift tag to attach! And you have a cute Easter gift and something for yourself! Happy Easter! -Susan B.

Hi everyone, I am back from Jamaica “Mon” and in Jamaica I learned a term that applies to my life. They like to say, in Jamaica, “No problem” but sometimes there is clearly a problem. The Jamaicans response to that is, “No problem, just a situation.” I like that phrase.

When I got home from Jamaica I started reading the “Scrappin’ Good Times” blog and soon learned that a “situation” had occurred while I was vacationing. I was at the store, shopping less then 12 hours before I flew out of L.A. I was gone only a week (7 short days) and what should happen at “Scrappin”? They got in a TON of new product!!! The “situation” is….some of the new product is already SOLD OUT.

The point of this loooong story is, don’t go on vacation. If you should  go on a vacation, know if advance that a “situation” might occur while you are gone.  If you are home and anywhere near “Scrappin Good Times” then you need to stop in a couple of times a week. If you can’t make it in a couple of times a week then at least once a week!!! Don’t let what happened to me happen to you, then you won’t have a “situation” like me.  I know that the store will re-order the fun things that I missed while I was laying by the pool, listening to the sound of the ocean while drinking yet another wonderful tropical drink. Soon I will be able to get my hands on the full line of Cosmo Cricket “Cogsmo” and the boy line from Little Yellow Bicycle. Until then I will see what they have left of the line, buy that, and wait until the next order comes in. “No Problem Mon.”
