“How Sweet it Is…”

Posted on: July 4, 2007

7-3-07-hearts-above-joy-mntk.jpgLast night was the BIG BIG sale and QK release event at Scrappin’ Good Times! The theme was “How Sweet It Is” to reflect the new QK “Cookie Cutter” style of dies. Trish went all out making sure everything in the store reflected the theme. There were home made cookies, cookie cutters and baking stuff all around the store, not to mention our outfits!

“Good Time Girls”

“Sweet” Decor

The BIG BIG news was the release of the EXCLUSIVE Scrappin’ Good Times die from Quickutz. Rumors have been a’ flying about this die, being called the “Gypsy Heart” on 2Peas. Trish really wanted to wait until the SGT 3 year anniversary sale to reveal the die but there was so much buzz, people from Japan and all over the world calling the store wanting to order it… she just could not make everyone wait any longer.

Here is Joy’s make-n-take. She made enough cards for 50 people and they were gone in a FLASH! Get a load of that SGT winged heart!!

Check out the awesome winged hearts Joy had hanging above her make-n-take table!

Here is the line of people waiting to come in:

And it goes on…

and on…
and on… and on…
and on……and on!!

When the customers and friends finally came in, they were all directed to the back of the store where Trish narrated an entire presentation of all the dies, how they work, the QK reasoning behind releasing these new dies… everyone got to see the behind the scenes info! There were gorgeous samples using the new dies made by Krista and the other Design Team members all over the store. Everyone remarked on how cute Krista’s “What?” layout of her dog was–you’ll have to stop in to see it!

After Trish was done presenting the dies to everyone, Lisa, Barbara and I set to demo-ing…

Me–check out my hat! LOL

My Demo Area–I did this layout using the new “Spotlight” die set

Sandy was working the die holding tank with her girls ….

Tina was busy taking MORE orders

Valeree was working the register…

Trish, PJ, Michelle, Vivina, Lizett, and Valeree were working the die area and registers, Judy and Susan were explaining the system to the customers, Joy was making and taking,…everyone was working hard! There were so many people crowded into the store that it started to get HOT! LOL Everyone loved the new dies–we sold out of Revolutions, out of all the new alphabet die sets, out of tons of the past shapes…it was incredible! And everyone loved the versatility of the new tool, how you can conserve paper with it, the possiblities, the price (even lower!!)…it was phenomenal.
If you haven’t seen the new dies don’t wait any longer. They are very cool. You can still get some of the shapes too. And stop in to see our samples!
